The second this team was introduced into the National Hockey League on December 10, 1992, I fell in love with the team. Living in Houston at the time, I was still with my heart in Florida (meaning I never wanted to leave). From Houston, I began following this team and carried that back to Florida and now Arizona.
Been on the bandwagon since the team played their first game in October 1993.
Florida has been to the Stanley Cup Final four times in their franchise history (1996, 2023, 2024, and 2025). I was bummed when they lost to Colorado in 1996 and burned when they lost to Vegas in 2023. But the sting of those defeats was wiped out in 2024 and then again in 2025.
Florida defeated Edmonton in both 2024 and 2025 to secure their first two championships in franchise history.
Growing up, was not able to attend games until I moved back to Florida in 1996. However, once I moved to Arizona, I never let that stop as I went to a few games here in Phoenix and have been to two games in Las Vegas. Living in the west, hard to see them live.

But thank God for ESPN Plus where I can stream them live in action now.

Florida Panthers defeated Edmonton 4-3 in the 2024 Stanley Cup Final, winning Game 7 2-1 to capture the first championship in franchise history. What started off as a Florida Panthers 3-0 lead in the series got very dicey after Edmonton won the next three games. Florida was in danger of becoming the first team since the 1942 Detroit Red Wings to lose a series after winning the first three games of the series. Instead of being reverse swept, the Panthers salvaged the series in Game 7 and became the first team since the 1945 Toronto Maple Leafs to win the first three games of a series, lose the next three and then win the last one.
In the end, they hoisted Lord Stanley's Cup for the first time ever in franchise history.
Florida Panthers defeated Edmonton again, this time 4-2 in the 2025 Stanley Cup Final. Florida defeated Edmonton 5-1 in Game 6 to secure their second straight championship in franchise history. Edmonton won the first game in OT, but Florida rebounded to win the next two. Edmonton took Game 4. But Games 5 and 6 were utter domination. Florida led for 90% of the series and became only the third team in NHL history to win the Stanley Cup after never having home ice advantage in any of the four rounds.
